LOKIVA TERMS OF SERVICE

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Lokiva (the “Service”) you accept these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. Accepting these terms before account creation is a mandatory step in the application.

2. Service Description

Lokiva is a food and venue discovery platform that lets users share posts, photos, reviews and comments about restaurants, cafes and dishes. Some features rely on user-generated content (“UGC”).

3. User Responsibilities

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • You must provide accurate information during registration.
  • You must not create fake, impersonating or duplicate accounts.
  • You must not manipulate ratings, reviews, follower counts or any other engagement signal.
  • You must not use the Service for unlawful purposes.
  • You are solely responsible for content you post.

4. User-Generated Content & Zero Tolerance Policy

Lokiva enforces a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable user-generated content. The following is strictly prohibited and will be removed without notice:

  • Hate speech, harassment, threats or bullying
  • Sexually explicit, pornographic or nude content
  • Content depicting or promoting violence, self-harm or illegal acts
  • Profanity, slurs or content intended to demean others
  • Spam, scams, phishing or deceptive advertising
  • Personal information of other people published without consent (doxxing)
  • Content that infringes intellectual property rights
  • Misleading information about food safety or restaurant operations

Lokiva uses an automated content filter that screens every post and comment for objectionable language at the moment of submission. Flagged content is automatically routed to the moderation queue and may be masked or removed.

5. Reporting Objectionable Content

Every post and every comment in Lokiva exposes an in-app “Report” action. Reports are written to our moderation queue together with the reporter’s identifier, the targeted content and a reason supplied by the reporter.

You may also report content, a user or any policy violation through lokiva.app/contact or by emailing infolokiva@gmail.com. Our moderation team monitors both channels daily and responds within 24 hours.

6. Blocking Abusive Users

Every user profile, every post and every comment provides an in-app “Block user” action. When you block another user:

  • their posts and comments disappear from your feed in real time;
  • they can no longer initiate chats with you;
  • Lokiva is automatically notified of the block event for moderation review.

Blocks can be reviewed and reverted at any time from Settings → Blocked Users.

7. Moderation Service Level

Lokiva commits to reviewing all reported content within 24 hoursof the report. Confirmed violations result in (a) immediate removal of the content and (b) termination of the offending user’s account. Repeated or severe violations may result in permanent ban and device-level prohibition.

8. Account Suspension & Termination

Lokiva reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates these Terms, at its sole discretion and without prior notice when needed to protect the community. Affected users may appeal by submitting an explanation through lokiva.app/contact or by emailing infolokiva@gmail.com.

9. Liability

Lokiva does not guarantee the accuracy of user-generated content, including venue ratings, photos or reviews. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

10. Privacy

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and KVKK Disclosure. Lokiva only collects information that is necessary for the Service to function. Optional fields (gender, phone number, birthday, district) can be skipped or removed at any time from Profile → Edit Profile.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Disputes shall be resolved before the courts of Istanbul.
